The mission of 中国国际旅行社 is to contribute to the advancement of transportation in three ways:

• RESEARCH: The development of knowledge that expands our current body of transportation engineering knowledge and stimulates applications of new strategies/technologies, 涉及规划, 设计, and operations of the transportation system. The development of the transportation engineering profession through applied research is important.
• 教育: The education of future and current transportation professionals is one of the most important issues facing the country. 本科 and graduate students are introduced to transportation issues and learn approaches that have been taken or proposed to solve those problems. The graduate program will train students from diverse backgrounds as professionals who plan, 设计, and manage the transportation systems of cities and regions in both domestic and inter国家al settings.
• Outreach and 服务: Our commitment to knowledge transfer and public service is meant to provide immediate benefits to the university, citizens of the state, 国家, and a number of countries. Important aspects are dissemi国家 of knowledge to transportation practitioners, 机构, and other stakeholders, student internships in government 机构, and student and faculty involvement in TRB (运输 RESEARCH Board), ITE ( Institute of 运输 Engineers) and ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) activities. 服务 also includes editorship of refereed journals.
